Emily Tull, NP

Nurse practitioner Emily Tull said she was inspired to choose healthcare as a career by Jorge Martinez, MD, after he worked tirelessly through the night to save her father, who had suffered a brain aneurysm. 

“When he came out to let us know how the surgery went, he reminded my mom this was just a part of (my dad’s) story, he still had a whole life left to live,” Tull recalls. “(Dr. Martinez) said miracles were solely from the Lord, who was working through his hands. (He) showed that there was still ‘good’ in healthcare, and I wanted to be a part of it!”

The Blanchard native earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She specializes in internal medicine and treats a wide variety of chronic conditions, complex issues and acute illnesses at Willis Knighton Red River Internal Medicine in Bossier.  

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and caring for their two little girls. She also enjoys reading, doing needlepoint and binge-watching “Law & Order.”
