Ashley Addy, MSN, APRN, ACNPC-AG

Nurse practitioner Ashley Addy specializes in pulmonary and critical care, monitoring and treating COPD, emphysema, asthma, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, lung nodules and many other pulmonary illnesses. She has been a nurse for more than two decades and has experience working in ICU, CCU, Med-Surg, cardiology and pulmonary/critical care settings.

Addy says she wanted to work in the medical field since she was a child. As a freshman at Louisiana State University, she began working as an EKG/ABG technician and was impressed by how skilled Emergency Room nurses were at their job, “how much experience and knowledge they had, and how they used that knowledge to save lives. Ultimately it was that experience that directed me toward a nursing career.”

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree at LSU in Shreveport. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Northwestern State University. She is certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. 

Married and the mother of one child, she enjoys traveling, gardening and learning to play the violin.
