Brandon “Gage” Blackledge, DO

Brandon “Gage” Blackledge, DO, is a general surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care for patients with abdominal pathology, hernias, and skin and soft tissue disorders at Willis Knighton General Surgery Pierremont. He is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care and works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Dr. Blackledge was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his father, who is also a physician. After spending time shadowing him as a young man, he discovered a passion for surgery and the opportunity it provides to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. He finds surgery to be one of the most rewarding ways to serve others and give back to the community.

A native of Magee, Mississippi, Dr. Blackledge earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of South Alabama in Mobile before completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He completed general surgery residency training at both the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and Willis Knighton Health in Shreveport, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of a wide range of conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Blackledge enjoys spending time with his wife and children, participating in outdoor activities, watching movies and following sports. His dedication to excellence, combined with a compassionate approach to care, allows him to help patients achieve the best possible surgical outcomes.
