About Me
Amanda H. Bunton, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB-GYN physician (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology) at Women’s Health Clinic at Willis-Knighton South & the Center for Women’s Health. She is pleased to diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of women’s health issues. Dr. Bunton’s care philosophy leads her to listen to her patients, which often is the key to successful treatment. A typical day in the clinic includes regular gynecologic, preventive, prenatal and obstetric care. She also provides services around high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgeries.
A summa cum laude graduate in biochemistry from Centenary College of Louisiana, Dr. Bunton remained in Shreveport for her medical education and training. LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine was her home for medical school, her internship and OB-GYN residency. She joins like-minded professionals as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
Away from the clinic, Dr. Bunton enjoys time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys exercising, reading mystery and suspense novels, traveling and good food.
