About Me
Amber Shah, MD, MPH, is a board-certified cardiologist dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care to adults with cardiovascular conditions. As a general cardiologist, Dr. Shah manages a wide range of heart diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. He also has specialized expertise in advanced echocardiography and nuclear imaging.
Dr. Shah delivers personalized one-on-one care. He takes time to ensure patients fully understand their heart health, treatment options and longterm outlook. Whether focusing on prevention or treatment, Dr. Shah makes sure his patients feel heard, respected and empowered to make informed decisions that align with their goals and values.

He later completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he also conducted cardiovascular research. He continued this research at Johns Hopkins before completing his internal medicine residency – serving as chief resident – at Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania. He then pursued fellowship training at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. During his time as chief resident, Dr. Shah was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award. He continues to nurture his passion for education by leading the EKG Club for internal medicine residents at Willis Knighton Health.
