About Me
Andrew Crane, MD, makes a difference in people’s lives as a transplant and general hepatobiliary surgeon. This includes liver transplantation for acute liver failure and cirrhosis. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes can get a new pancreas and enjoy more years of life with family and friends. A new kidney is a lifesaving operation for patients tethered to dialysis centers for treatment of chronic kidney disease due to diabetes or high blood pressure. Dr. Crane enjoys saving lives in our community with robotic kidney transplantation.
Doing his best for each patient, Dr. Crane enjoys complex surgeries that move patients from very poor health to really having no problems at all. He partners with each patient to improve their quality of life.
Dr. Crane is a board-certified diplomate in general surgery (American Board of Surgery). Following his bachelor’s degree at Emory University, he completed his medical degree at Medical College of Georgia. His general surgery residency was at Creigton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Crane went on to complete a transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Crane enjoys going to the gym, playing guitar and cooking.
