About Me

Anil Veluvolu, MD, specializes in the treatment of hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal tumors, which includes the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine. He appreciates the bravery, courage and mental strength of all patients he sees at Hematology/Oncology Associates-Pierremont. He works to involve patients and their loved ones in treatment decisions, as Dr. Veluvolu prioritizes the patient’s quality of life along with their increased quantity of life. 

Educated in Shreveport, Dr. Veluvolu graduated college from LSUS then went on to medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. His internship, internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship were completed on the same campus. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
