About Me
Chris Caldwell, MD, specializes in hip and knee replacement surgeries so you can get back to activities you enjoy with well-functioning, pain-free joints – golfing, hiking, hunting or playing pickleball.

A native of North Carolina, Dr. Caldwell graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at LSU Health Shreveport and a fellowship in arthroplasty at the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Caldwell lives in Shreveport with his wife, Katie, and their golden retriever. They enjoy weekends together watching college sports and grilling or smoking something in their backyard. As a lifetime University of North Carolina basketball fan and UNC graduate, Dr. Caldwell reflects on fond memories of the 2005 UNC vs. Duke basketball game in Chapel Hill. UNC came back from seven points down in the last two minutes of the game to win the ACC regular season championship. In addition to family time and sports, Dr. Caldwell also enjoys playing piano, golf and gardening.
