About Me

D. Gene Mack, Jr., MD, partners with families to provide healthcare for their children at Pierremont Pediatrics. A Shreveport native, Dr. Mack earned his bachelor’s degree at Louisiana Tech University. He then graduated from LSU Medical Center-Shreveport School of Medicine and completed his internship and pediatric residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  

Dr. Mack is a member of Northwest Louisiana Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and Northwest Louisiana Pediatric Society. For 18 years, Dr. Mack led the Caddo Parish Title I Program as medical director. 

A husband and a father, Dr. Mack enjoys quality time with his family. He and his wife enjoy the outdoors, working in their yard or out fishing. His family attends Ellerbe Road Baptist Church.
