About Me
Erin Kate Cassiere, MD, FACOG, provides OB-GYN care for teenage and adult women at WK Doctors for Women at WK Pierremont Health Center. She creates a supportive environment during every patient visit as she provides high-level care.
Dr. Cassiere enjoys working with women who have both low- and high-risk pregnancies. In addition to obstetric care, Dr. Cassiere specializes in minimally invasive robotic surgeries for a range of gynecologic conditions. Patients benefit from only a few small punctures instead of a large cut to the abdomen, which allows most women to go home the day of their surgery. Recovery from robotic surgeries can take as little as one or two weeks so patients can return to their regular routine in a short amount of time.
A Shreveport native, Dr. Cassiere graduated with a degree in biology from Centenary College of Louisiana. She received her Doctor of Medicine from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine and completed her OB-GYN residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. In 2012 Dr. Cassiere was awarded the Marguerite F. Shepard Award for outstanding achievement in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Cassiere is certified in OB-GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her professional memberships include Fellowship of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), Northwest Louisiana Medical Society and Louisiana State Medical Society.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Cassiere enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
