About Me
Frederick J. White, III, MD, FACC, FCCP, is a cardiologist at Willis Knighton Cardiology who welcomes patients with emergency and chronic heart conditions that affect lifestyle and longevity. He respects and dignifies every patient as he does his best using his decades of medical experience to heal them. Treating every patient with the care and compassion that he would treat a member of his own family, Dr. White guides them through the difficult time of illness. Dr. White spends precious time with patients to understand their symptoms, arrive at a diagnosis, share potential solutions with them, and allow patients to ask their important questions.
A graduate of LSU-Shreveport and LSU Medical Center-Shreveport in 1982, Dr. White is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He did residency training with University of Arkansas School of Medicine, followed by specialty training with a cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. White is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FACP).
Away from the clinic, Dr. White enjoys spending time in scholarly pursuits. He earned a certificate in philosophy at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
