About Me
Michel El-Hayek, MD, is an infectious disease specialist who empowers patients with a shared understanding of their health condition and their treatment strategy.
He has extensive clinical expertise across much of Texas, with a post-doctoral internal medicine fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, a brief stint at Buffalo General Hospital in New York, work at St. Luke’s Health in Houston, more post-graduate training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, and an infectious disease fellowship back at UT Southwestern in Dallas. He is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in infectious disease.
A resident of Shreveport, Dr. El-Hayek loves spending time with his wife and four daughters and enjoys taking them with him to share his travel experiences. He enjoys international travel, made easy with his fluency in three languages: English, Arabic and French. He also enjoys his proficiency in the kitchen.
