About Me
Joseph Fredi, MD, FACC, FACP, is a cardiologist at Pierremont Cardiology who welcomes patients with various cardiovascular conditions. His areas of expertise include general cardiology and interventional cardiology. He has special expertise in structural heart intervention with noninvasive procedures.
After a detailed explanation and counseling, Dr. Fredi’s patients benefit from a better understanding of their diagnosis and possible treatment outcomes. Dr. Fredi has a passion for working with patients to increase their quality of life and longevity. He thinks highly of medical technology advancements in recent years that provide effective, minimally invasive treatments for many heart conditions.
Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Fredi graduated from University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis. His internship and internal medicine residency were at University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in New York, where he was named chief resident. Dr. Fredi pursued further training through a cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He practiced cardiology in Nashville for many years before he began practice in Shreveport.
Dr. Fredi is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
