Joseph Golden, MD, is a patient-centered cardiologist dedicated to understanding your health needs and concerns. He creates a personalized treatment plan and provides comprehensive care to address your heart condition and support your overall health and quality of life. Dr. Golden offers a range of diagnostic and treatment solutions, including:

Born in Pennsylvania, Dr. Golden grew up in Meridian, Mississippi, a place he proudly calls his hometown. His passion for knowledge and a deep commitment to helping others led him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Golden graduated magna cum laude with degrees in chemistry, biology and mathematics from the University of Mississippi, before earning his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He then completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine.
Dr. Golden is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds board certification in nuclear cardiology (Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology) and echocardiography (National Board of Echocardiography). Dr. Golden stays up to date with cardiology research and trends as an active member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and maintains memberships in the American Medical Association (AMA), the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
Outside the clinic, Dr. Golden enjoys hiking, boating and reading.
