About Me
Kevin N. Boykin, MD, is a board-certified pediatric surgeon (American Board of Surgery). He dedicates his life to surgical care for children that supports them in a healthy life for decades to come. “Being able to invest a small amount of my time to make a lifelong improvement in the life of a child is an enormous blessing,” says Dr. Boykin.
A native of Shreveport, Dr. Boykin earned a biology degree at LSUS. He then received his medical doctorate and completed a general surgery residency at LSUHSC-Shreveport. Dr. Boykin was selected for a transplantation fellowship at the distinguished Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Also at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Boykin completed a second fellowship in pediatric surgery.
Dr. Boykin was chief of surgery at LSU Children’s Hospital in Shreveport before joining the private practice of Pediatric Surgical Associates with Dr. Brown and Dr. Sorrells.
Away from the operating room, Dr. Boykin enjoys spending quality time with his wife and five children and grilling.
