About Me

Kimberly L. Jones, MD, is a pediatric pulmonologist. She provides help for children from birth to age 21 who have any kind of lung disorder, including asthma, chronic cough, pneumonia and chronic lung disease of infancy. Dr. Jones wants young patients and their parents to have the knowledge and treatment resources they need to avoid hospitalization and enjoy life. Children treated by Dr. Jones are often able to return to things they love, up to and including team sports.

A native of North Louisiana, Dr. Jones graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1988. She came to Shreveport for her medical education at LSU Medical Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. Dr. Jones completed her pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Back in Shreveport, Dr. Jones completed an adult pulmonary fellowship, followed by a pediatric pulmonary fellowship in New Orleans at Tulane University School of Medicine.

She is certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine) and pediatric pulmonary medicine (American Board of Pediatrics).
