About Me
Gregory Blanton, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Bossier Healthcare for Women. He treats a broad range of obstetric and gynecologic conditions, as well as annual well-woman exams. Dr. Blanton specializes in gynecologic and vaginal surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures for pelvic reconstruction and female urinary incontinence.
Pregnancy and childbirth are events to celebrate in a woman’s life. Dr. Blanton enjoys delivering babies and works to ensure safe delivery for the mother and child. This is reflected in his care philosophy to treat every patient as delicately as if they are his own wife and mother.
He attended LSU Shreveport for college and LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. His obstetrics and gynecology residency was with the University of Florida at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Dr. Blanton is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
When not seeing patients, Dr. Blanton enjoys fishing, horse racing, and spending time with his wife and children.
