About Me

Larry L. Flake, MD, welcomes patients of all ages with a wide range of health conditions. His primary interests include metabolic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, in the interest of prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. These conditions can manifest in many ways, with different diagnoses for different people. Dr. Flake’s care philosophy is to listen to patients as they explain what is wrong as he makes treatment decisions. Families are able to get back to the lives they love following personalized care from Dr. Flake.

Dr. Flake graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine in 1987. He completed his clinical residency at the same location.  He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Flake enjoys outdoor activity and days on the lake with family.

He is married and the father of three daughters.
