About Me
Maxwell “Chip” McDonald, III, MD, genuinely enjoys working with cancer patients who seek positive health outcomes as a hematologist and medical oncologist at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center. His clinical focus is lung cancer and gynecologic cancer. The collaborative nature of Willis-Knighton's comprehensive cancer center is appealing to Dr. McDonald and his cancer patients.
A graduate of Louisiana State University Baton Rouge, Dr. McDonald remained in the LSU system for medical school. His internship, internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship were completed at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to practice medical oncology.
When not treating patients, Dr. McDonald enjoys time with his wife and three children, golf, exercise and investing.
