About Me

Michael Banda, MD, surgically treats a wide variety of conditions for patients of all ages, young children to elderly adults. Dr. Banda puts his heart and soul into every operation to help you achieve greater well-being. He guides patients through the surgical process as he works with you toward a solution.

From San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Banda is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He then earned his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His surgical training was at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport, and he is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Banda is married to wife, Shannon, and they are the parents of a grown son, Victor. Away from the operating room, Dr. Banda likes to fish and hunt.
