About Me

Norman A. Zaffater, Jr., MD, offers comprehensive family eye care and enjoys helping restore peoples’ vision with surgery. He stated, “There is nothing like giving someone their sight back. I feel blessed that God chose this path for me and I continually seek His guidance.”

He is highly experienced in the latest techniques of laser vision correction, including all laser custom LASIK, SMILE and PRK. He has expertise in cataract removal with the use of various lens implants, including implants that correct distance, intermediate and reading vision. He is highly skilled in eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) for both cosmetic and medical reasons. Dr. Zaffater is trained in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, diabetic eye conditions and certain retinal abnormalities.

As a member of the Willis-Knighton Physician Network, Dr. Zaffater performs LASIK, SMILE and PRK procedures at WK Eye Institute Refractive Surgery Center in Shreveport. He performs other surgical procedures at WK Bossier Medical Pavilion and WK Eye Institute in Shreveport.
