About Me
Dr. Priyal Upadhyay is honored to care for people who have been told “It’s just an allergy.” She acknowledges that anyone who lives with allergies knows that it’s a big deal to constantly be uncomfortable. She wants to be sure patients get the comfort and confidence they need.
A graduate of the University of California Davis, she received a Master of Public Health degree from Touro University of California before her medical degree at St. George University, Granada, West Indies. She completed her pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, working there until 2023. She then pursued a fellowship program in allergy and immunology at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport and joined the Willis Knighton Physician Network following graduation. She is a member of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, and the Clinic Immunology Society.
During her academic career, Dr. Upadhyay participated in numerous research projects and presentations, and she brings all of that knowledge to patients at her practice of allergy and immunology at Willis Knighton South.
When not in the office, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, cooking and absolutely loves being a mom.
