About Me

Scott R. McRight, MD, is a nephrologist at Internal Medicine Associates at WK Pierremont Health Center. He treats patients with kidney problems and hypertension. Prevention and treatment of these conditions plays a major role in helping patients to prevent other severe health complications.

Dr. McRight finds fulfillment as he becomes part of patients’ lives, providing long-term treatment while they are in the hospital and after they return home. He works closely with patients to keep them off dialysis.

Dr. McRight earned his medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. He followed his schooling with clinical experience on the same campus during an internship, internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship.

Dr. McRight appreciates the respect he has earned within the Shreveport-Bossier community. His philosophy is to be a compassionate and caring physician. When outside the clinic, Dr. McRight enjoys LSU football with friends and family activities.
