About Me
Tina Firouzbakht, MD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who treats adult patients with heart rhythm disorders at Willis-Knighton Cardiology. She supports patients with the implantation and management of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as complex catheter ablations for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
A patient-centered care philosophy drives Dr. Firouzbakht to assist patients in making informed treatment decisions that help them feel better and align with their life goals.
Raised in Texas, Dr. Firouzbakht is a summa cum laude graduate of University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Dr. Firouzbakht went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. At Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport, she completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship as chief fellow. Dr. Firouzbakht continued her training at Mayo Clinic Arizona with a second fellowship in electrophysiology. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
When not normalizing people’s heart rhythm, Dr. Firouzbakht enjoys quality time with her family and her dog. She also enjoys reading and exercising in her free time.
