Jaahnavi Konidala, MD

As far back as she can remember, Jaahnavi Konidala, MD, wanted to become a doctor. “I have been fascinated by human physiology and the medical, social factors underlying illness, as well as the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through compassionate care,” she says.

She was encouraged by her father and her family physician. 

“My father encouraged my interest in medicine by providing me with medical books and taking me to medical exhibitions, while my family physician further inspired me through the care he provided to our community,” she said. “Together, these early experiences sparked my passion for understanding illness and caring for people and set me on the path to becoming a physician.”

Today she works with the Bossier Hospitalist Group, specializing in internal medicine at Willis Knighton Bossier. She provides comprehensive inpatient care and coordinating with specialists when needed to ensure optimal patient management. She also cares for patients transferred from other hospitals and serves as a medical consultant for surgical patients, addressing their acute medical needs and optimizing management of underlying medical comorbidities. 

Dr. Konidala graduated from Indira Gandhi Medical College in Puducherry, India, in 2016 and completed a residency in internal medicine at Willis Knighton Health in 2026. She speaks English, Telugu and Tamil.

In her free time, she and her husband enjoy traveling to beaches, mountains and national parks, exploring different cultures and experiencing diverse cuisines.
