Lauren Sartin, MD

Lauren Sartin, MD, sees all of her patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. “The same doctor treating you in the clinic will be the same one treating you in the hospital, too, which offers the best, most complete care for my patients,” she says.

Dr. Sartin specializes in comprehensive adult primary care that is focused on treating, managing and — ideally — preventing complex chronic conditions and severe illness. She is joining Willis Knighton Internal Medicine Associates, where she will evaluate, manage, diagnose and treat conditions of the heart, blood, kidneys, thyroid and joints, as well as the digestive, respiratory and vascular systems and cancers. She also focuses on disease prevention, wellness and mental health and has a special interest in geriatrics and obesity medicine/medical weight loss.

A native of West Point, Mississippi, Dr. Sartin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at Mississippi State University in Starkville and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Willis Knighton Health.

Outside the office, she loves traveling with her husband, whether they’re exploring a new destination or enjoying the outdoors together during deer season. Traveling is one of her greatest passions. She has visited several countries and 49 U.S. states, with plans to complete all 50 with a trip to North Dakota in the future. She also enjoys family board game nights, tending her houseplants and gardening.
