About Me
A native of West Monroe, Mary McFerren, PA, is a certified physician assistant (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) at WK Pierremont Neurology Clinic. After practicing family medicine for 19 years, McFerren joined the practice of Dr. Meghan Harris so she could bring care to patients and their families on a deep, personal level. Teamwork makes the dream work, especially considering the complexity of neurological conditions.
McFerren holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty in family medicine from University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her undergraduate work began with a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine and minor in chemistry from Northeast Louisiana University. She graduated with a second Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Allied Health. McFerren completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty in family medicine at University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is a member of the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Married and the mother of two, McFerren spends time away from the clinic enjoying her family and their activities.
