About Me
Omar Chaabo, MD, of Willis Knighton Cardiology Bossier, specializes in interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. He treats all adult patients, covering everything from prevention to advanced heart disease.
“I have always enjoyed learning and teaching and helping, and I think medicine combines all three,” he says.
A native of Lebanon, Chaabo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2010 and his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2014 at the University of Balamand, Lebanon. He completed his residency in general surgery in 2015 at American University of Beirut Medical Center in Beirut and internships in internal medicine in 2019 at Hamad Medical Corp. in Doha, Qatar, and general cardiology in 2022 at American University of Beirut Medical Center. He also completed fellowships in interventional cardiology at McGill University Health Center in Montreal in 2023 and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 2024; and in advanced heart failure and transplantation at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston in 2025.
He speaks Arabic, English and French. When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family.
