Family is very important to Dr. Gullatt, who was raised in a close-knit family with two sisters. These relationships played a big part in her choice to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. She enjoys developing a relationship with patients and seeing them throughout some of the most important moments in their life. She is an advocate for shared decision making between the doctor and patient. She believes in carefully listening to each patient’s needs and concerns before discussing options and treatments. Open, honest, positive communication is her hallmark, helping assure that patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns with her. Although Dr. Gullatt is from this area, she spent time in Baton Rouge and New Orleans during her education, but she always felt that the small-town-girl in her was pushing her back to her roots and family. She practiced in the Monroe area for a couple of years and was thrilled to have an opportunity to come home to be near her family and friends. She is married and has two sons. When not in the office serving patients, she’s likely to be focusing on outdoor activities and spending quality time with her family.
