About Me
Peter Klucar, MD, provides primary care services to help your family stay healthy and well at Pierremont Family Physicians. His areas of focus are general practice from young adults to senior care, women's health and preventive services.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Klucar enjoys working in his garden, going hiking with his family and traveling to distant countries.
Dr. Klucar is married to Mary Katherine, and they have two beautiful daughters.
A native of Slovakia, Dr. Klucar attended school and worked at medical universities in the U.S. since 1997. He holds bachelor's degrees in biology and chemistry; master's degrees in biotechnology, accounting and financial management, and business administration; and a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Klucar completed his family medicine residency at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Klucar spent 12 years doing medical research, which includes tuberculosis and development of prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. He has co-authored 16 peer-reviewed articles and he holds two patents. He is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
